The Revil-Celera Church Wedding

If there would be a contest for the fastest preparation yet a decent wedding ever made, I would gladly make for an entry our own big day.

The Celera-Revil Nuptial has been planned and prepared for only 12 days.

It was adventure-filled, rushed, tensed, fun and lovely all together.

Without the aid of a professional wedding organizer, we were able to fix all that we needed and wanted.

I couldn't be any happier with the outcome especially knowing that we worked every single detail of it ourselves. =)

Vince also was so sweet to make sure that despite the short time preparation we had, he gave all the best he can for me. Truly, I felt like his queen, the best ever feeling a woman could get from her man. =)

At first I was worried and nervous about the whole thing, but God assured me that everything will be fine if we just put our trust in Him.

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.  We love because he first loved us."- 1 John 4:18-19

With the help of my Tita Gina Gerona-Bello, we were able to custom-made my gown along with that of the entourage in less than a week. Being former Mutya ng Pilipinas, she has a lot of fashion designer friends who agreed to do it. Babang Del Mundo was the primary designer for my wedding gown.

It was through Tita Gina too that we were able to book Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-la Hotel for the reception.

It was 3 days before the wedding day when Shangri-la actually told us that we would be able to get the function hall and not just a small portion of it, as the one who booked cancelled.

The Make-up artist was her contact too. While the photographer and videographer was by Marco Abesamis Wedding Specialist, who is my Upsilonian brother himself.

I especially drew inspiration from my parents- Adolfo P. Celera Jr. and Marymode Gerona-Celera who with their loving marital relationship made me look forward to a blissful marriage as well.

With faith as my guide... let love take flight...

They told me to be the best wife I can be to my husband for he will be my partner in life forever.

His lover I vowed to be for eternity.

They reiterated that for every successful man, behind is a woman and I have to be that woman to him. =)

I have to watch his back and support him in all the ways that I can.

Be his bestfriend, lover, mother of his children, supporter and fan.

"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands..."
- Ephesians 5:22-33

"Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands..."
1 Peter 3:1-11

"House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord"-  Proverbs 19:14

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."- 1 Corinthians 13:13

"May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth."- Proverbs 5:18

My mother's lessons I shall keep in my heart--
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." -     Proverbs 31:30

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."- Ephesians 4:2

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."-
Ephesians 4:32

"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels."-
Isaiah 61:10

"Lift up your eyes around and see; they all gather, they come to you. As I live, declares the Lord, you shall put them all on as an ornament; you shall bind them on as a bride does"-
Isaiah 49:18

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies."- Proverbs 31:10

"Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find?  The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him."- Proverbs 20:6-7

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."- Genesis 2:24

"Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church..."-- Ephesians 5:25-33

"Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives.."-
1 Peter 3:1

"I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the Lord."- Hosea 2:20

"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,'  and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one...

...Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."- Matthew 19:4-5

"...Let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband" -
Ephesians 5:33

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth..."-
Ephesians 3:14-21

"O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the crannies of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely." -
Song of Solomon 2:14

"Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other"-
Psalm 85:10

"Beloved, let us love one another,

(the in-laws)

(brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces)

(Godfathers and Godmothers)

(Sigma Deltans)

 (Aquilans)

(Abelita, Bajar, Tan and Revil Families)

(Vince's immediate Revil family)

(Celera and Gerona Families)

(my immediate Gerona-Celera family)

...for love is from God,
and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."-
1 John 4:7

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing...

...Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails."-
1 Corinthians 13:1-8
