FOLLOW ME...

You might be thinking "why should I follow you?".  I know, I'm no celebrity...
nor am I great person...

One thing I'm sure about myself is that- I'm a sincere woman with a faithful heart for God.
I'm passionate about Him and of all the things he has given me, including first and foremost my family. =)
I'm a mother of four and a wife to a loving man.
I'm also a starting lawyer in this beautiful budding Province of Masbate in the Rodeo and Cattle Capital of the Philippines!
I know that I still have a long way to go, but I'm taking it one step at a time. Somehow, I think that I'm already living the life that God intended for me and blogging is among the many ways by which I share to people the beauty that life beholds when God is with us.

We may be Facebook friends or even family, but you might not really know me that much.
So if you think you'd like to know me more, especially why I think the way I think or why I am the way that I am- feeling all blessed and that by our loving Father God,
or simply because you want to be my friend or interact with me
or that you want to also teach me or share some stuff to me...
Do join me in my journey...
and let's learn from each other.
Hence, I said "Follow me..."

So this particular post focuses on my Boys! =)

Yes, I'm a mom of two boys! To be that has its perks other than the fulfillment of the essence of being a woman.

Look at them, don't they just love me? =) Hehe, I feel like their queen. (This is of course until they meet their special someone someday. I have a sweet and loving mother-in-law, so I'm just gonna be like her, that I promise. Lol.)

Being a mother to boys, opens up my understanding to the other gender. I get to learn their attitude and the way that they think somehow. (More on this in my next posts) =)

Now, meet the man they call "Dad"- my husband. These are some of his activities for the week.

He is Past President of the Rotary Club of Masbate (2004). The present is usually shaped up through it's past. So I say, how he handled it before is also what is being passed on as a legacy to the next leaders of this prestigious socio-civic organization. What I like most about his leadership during that time, apart from it's focus on extending service to others was that he would usually involve the wives and the children of their members. It's been very family-oriented and that has been the unwritten rule until these days.
As we know, the family is the basic social institution, it being the melting pot of values, character and even education. Being that, no less than our Constitution decrees its protection.  We, as citizens must also value and protect our families. It is not just for our own sake and our children, but it is also for the good of our country.
I'm proud that my husband is a family man who loves the Philippines, most especially our Province of Masbate!
I've always been the #1 fan of Vince Revil! I'm his life's cheerleader! =) That's what women are, we are the best supporters men can ever have, so once they have us, they better take care of us too, right? Lol.
Girl power is here! I'm a women's rights advocate by the way.
I'll post more on that too, soon.

In this one, he was a speaker for this Forum for the Business Sector on employment benefits for the labor force. Being in business ourselves, we really promote the welfare of our employees too. Necessary benefits such as SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig coverage- we give to our people. These do not preclude leave benefits (sick leave, maternity leave, etc.) and other bonuses that we graciously give too.
Employee-employer relationship becomes blissful once due respect and regard is mutual.

Usapang May "K" (Episode:Kasalan)

I have my regular Teleradio Program at DYME, Channel 5, AM 783KHz- a member of the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KBP) every Sundays at 3-4pm. Hope you can tune in or watch sometimes! =)

Yesterday was my second time to be on the air LIVE on TV and Radio. I started doing this in the radio way back about 3 months ago. Areas covered by the radio include the whole Masbate Province and the Bicol Provinces (Sorsogon, Albay, etc.), Lucena, Quezon, Bohol, Samar and Leyte. =) It has recently been converted into a Teleradio Station already, hence, my only 2nd time to be on TV. As for the TV coverage, it is seen in Masbate City and the Municipality of Mobo for those who have the MCI Cable. I have several texters both from the radio listeners and televiewers and I'm really happy to know that there are people who appreciate and follow my program. =)

My program is entitled "Usapang May K!" with Kaye being my nickname. =)  K in this sense stands for anything under the sun that begins with the letter K that is worth discussing. It can be Kabataan (Children), Kababaihan (Women), Karapatan (Rights), Kalusugan (Health), Katarungan (Justice), Kalikasan (Nature), Kapaligiran (Environment) and so forth. The topic is chosen depending on the events that coincide with my personal activities as well as from the different queries on me. I usually give legal opinion and discuss on different laws on the particular matter as well as decided controversies or cases by the Supreme Court, related to it. Being married to a public servant, I usually find myself supporting and joining the different causes and advocacies that my husband is working on. This would also include different social obligations that he attends. So part of my discussion also covers these.

For this particular segment yesterday, I talked about "Kasalan" (Marriage/Weddings). This is in relation to the recent Valentines Day celebration that people around the world celebrated as well as because I attended a Wedding the other day with my husband Vince  (<--press to know more about him). It was a simple and intimate one at Milagros. Here's a peek to that...

The Dimen-Seachon Nuptial

It's nice to witness weddings. I especially love the part where the exchange of vows by the couple is done. It makes me remember our own. =) It's like my personal renewal of vow deep within.

Now, as to what I've discussed at my teleradio program- I talked about some laws regarding marriage under the Family Code. I covered on the essential and formal requisites for a valid one and gave different possible issues that may arise. It was an hour long of discussion and it was pretty extemporaneous. I have no script to follow.  I just have my outline in my head and I talk from my memory of what has been taught of me from the Ateneo De Manila University Law School. It comes handy especially that I'm also teaching law and specifically Civil Law Review I and II, Obligations and Contracts, Provrem and PIL. I got some text messages while the program was going on and I would be very honest to say that it makes me really really glad.

Top: Dorothy Perkins; Shorts: Details; Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell's Warrant

So here's how I looked. This was taken after the program already, so not so fresh anymore. Haha. =)

And yes, I'm in shorts. It doesn't show on TV, only half of my body is seen.

And because this is a fashion blog under the Beauty and Fashion Category of the Philippine Bloggers
Directory, this must  contain an outfit posting.

The Look: Simple Casual

So that's all, have a great week ahead my dears! It's Monday again! Time to be even more productive... =)

God bless us all!

JZSES 43rd Foundation Day: Our Valentines Date

As School PTA President of the Jose Zurbito Sr. Elementary School, I had the privilege to be involved and to take active part in this affair- the 43rd JZSES Foundation Day.

So here are the photos of that event...

It started off with a Mass and a Parade.

Here with me is our daughter Joeanne Vienyc "Jovi". She is running for MMO for the Supreme Student Government at JZSES. She's really smart. Currently top 3 in her class and she's won a lot of essay writing contests both in the School Level and Division Level. She has also been a representative to the Regional Elementary Schools Press Conference held at Legazpi City, Albay. Right now, we are grooming her for a possible extemporaneous speaking contest for next year. MMO stands for Media and Marketing Officer. She is the best person for the position, so vote JOVI REVIL for MMO! =)

Then there were presentations prepared from all grade levels from the Pre-Schoolers up to Grade 6.

Notice how cute they are. =)

Colorful and energetic, huh? =) Their parents were really happy seeing their kids perform.

Who won't be, right? As for me, that's our youngest daughter Jorin Viktoria "Bavick", right there in the middle. She loves dancing, singing and playing the guitar. She's part of the Rondalla Club of the school that performs in most school events. She's very talented. She speaks very fluently too. Really good in communication skills. She's also running for Councilor for her Grade level (Grade 2). Their elections will be by July. She's very passionate about it, hopefully she makes it too. =) VIKTORIA REVIL for Councilor! =)

These are the Grade 3s. They are so lovely in Red. =)

Now, here are the Grade 4s. JOVI is part of this. She's the one in the middle photo above, together with her best friend since Pre-School. Her name is Hestia Cervantes. She's also running for Councilor for Grade 4. Councilors are voted on a per grade level basis. MMO is voted by the whole school. Another candidate is their friend Marja Ranola. She's the one dancing beside my daughter too. They are all very good friends. =) Hopefully they all make it. =)

Last to perform were the Grade 5 and 6 students. They danced really well too. Notice those facial expressions, for sure you'll feel their excitement too!

Then at night was the Coronation Ceremonies of the Mr. & Ms. JZSES and their court. This has been a traditional activity since then, which is made possible through the support of all the parents of the candidates as well as the different teacher advisers and grade level representatives and facilitated by the JZSESTA headed by Mrs. Pia Salvacion and the SPTA by yours truly . Each grade level has a pair of representatives. The selection of the winner is done through a sort of a bidding process where the one with the highest bid wins the position. For this year, the bid was at around P60,000 for the title, won by the Grade 6 Contestants: Jose Pablo Du and Lyxen Jewin A. Malubay. The total money of the event was at around 90k+. This amount is used to finance the expenses for the event (i.e.venue,sound system, food, trophies, decors, etc.) and the remainder if any will be used for a school project.

So these are the names of the King and Queen of JZSES and their court.

The night went smoothly with several presentations, speeches and to highlight it were these...

The Sash-Pinning...

The Crowning...

and the Awarding Ceremonies.

It was February 14 then, and you bet, it's become my Valentines Date with my husband Vince (<--press to know him more) and it's been totally worth it. =) It was a special event. I would always remember that once upon a time, we dated together with the JZSES community. It has given me this sense of fulfillment that is something beyond the usual dates that we have. Perhaps, it was because, we went out of our comfort zones and shared the love of God to this community. The speech we delivered, definitely shared the good news to His people- that God is our perfect unconditional lover despite all of our imperfections. =)

That's all. Hope you had a fulfilling Valentines day too! =)

God bless us all! =)

Nobody is Perfect

shirt: Zara; blazer: Mom's (nexus);

Notice my shirt? It says "Nobody is Perfect." Perhaps no one will disagree to that. For truly, not one is perfect, whether it be by physical appearance or by character.  We know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What may be good looking for one may not be the same for another. It is even impossible to get everyone to like each other for in one way or another, we may disagree. This is so, for we have our own preferences.

bag: Bicol made (bought at Daraga, Albay); belt: Topshop;
As regards character, we are all humans- susceptible to faults and mistakes. No matter how we try to be good, we can't always have the right reaction. Our feelings and emotions are easy prey to sin. Hence, we need the grace and love of the one who is perfect- God. With His unconditional love, we are restored to perfect union with Him. We just have to acknowledge that it is only through Him that we can be saved.

pumps: HK made
Saved from what? From all the imperfections that life as a human being can have. This includes sin, a complicated life, sufferings and even death. Life on earth is temporary. We are all passersby here. Through Him, life in paradise is possible. Through Him, we can have a taste of that paradise even on earth if we would choose to follow Him and His ways. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
Whoever follows Him, will be saved.

the whole look: chic and comfy
Despite our imperfections, God's love is perfect for us. He gives unconditional love, whatever our circumstances and regardless of what we've done in the past or of our mistakes from before. What matters now is that we would accept Him as our Lord and Savior.

If you haven't yet accepted Him as that, please pray this with me:

"Lord God, I am a sinner. I am deeply sorry and I repent for all my sins. Please grant me forgiveness.  I believe that you have sent Jesus Christ to the world in order to save mankind from our sins. I believe that He died on the cross and resurrected so we can be saved. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior . I am inviting you Lord to dwell in my heart so that I can follow your ways and do your will and purpose for my life. Please also send the Holy Spirit to guide me all through my lifetime. This I pray, in Jesus Christ's mighty name, Amen."

If you prayed that prayer and would like to know more about that decision, or you'd like me to tell you more about it, please feel free to contact me through kayerevil@yahoo.com or you may also send me a message at Facebook:Jo Kristine C. Revil (<--press to get redirected)You may also choose to follow my

Thank you and God bless us all! =)

Let Thy Hearts Speak

Happy Valentines Day my dears! <3 <3 <3

This is my "Valentine Themed" look.

Notice those cute yellow hearts in this chiffon Zara dress? Yes, they are amazing!
I wore this as my Pre-Valentine Outfit. (day before Valentines)
How about the Ray-Ban aviators? Do you like them? Guess who those are?
You won't believe, but it's my husband's Vintage sunglasses back in his College days. Hihihi. Now I'm using them. He'll never get caught wearing them again. Haha!
Are those really his? Some friends would tell me, it might be his ex-girlfriend's? Well, let her claim it from me. Haha, just kidding. I trust his words and he said, it's really his. =)

Now, here's the dress in a much closer look. Yellow hearts for the jealous wife? Haha, nah. Trust and Love is key to a good relationship. And the most important of all is to make God as the center of that relationship.

Dress: Zara; Belt: Mango; Bag: Louis Vuitton, Palermo
and keep those feet on the ground...
Michael Antonio Heels

Arrogance and pride will never be good for relationships so do away with them.

So now, here's the look.

Wondering what my activities for this day were? Well, I had classes for my Licean Undergrads and for my Law Students at SBC too. Also, had my daughter's campaign materials made. She's running for MMO in the Supreme Student Government at JZSES. She's probably following the footsteps of her dad-
Vince Revil, (<--click his name to know more about him).

So allow me to campaign for our daughter JOVI.
She is the best candidate for the position with her qualifications and skills.

To wit:

by: Wishbone Services

MMO stands for Media and Marketing Officer. The elections will be this coming 23rd of February. If she wins, she'll serve the position by next school year 2012-2013.
As a Campus Journalist and the Editorial Writer at that, she is most qualified for the position. Recently, she has been asked for the Extemporaneous Speaking Contest that the school needs to participate in. We are grooming her for that. The contest will be next school year. =)
Having good communication skills, both written and oral, she'll be the best M.M.O. for JZSES!

So vote for my daughter ok? =)

Thank you so much in advance!!!

by: Wishbone Services

Whoever thinks I'm not a stage momma has not seen this post. Hahaha! =)

by Wishbone Services

So that's it. Hope you can vote for Jovi REVIL or ask some kids you know who study at JZSES to vote for her! =) The M.M.O. position is for the whole student body of around 2000++ to vote. So all grade levels of students may vote for her.

By the way, our other daughter Jorin Viktoria "Bavick" is also running for Councilor. Her materials are not yet done as their elections will still be next school year. Councilors are on a per grade level basis, so she will be voted upon by her fellow Grade 2 students or by next school year, they will be Grade 3 students already. =)

Will post that too when details are final. =)

Back to my fashion blog...

Aha! Learning how to pose?! Not quite. Still not so comfortable about it, but tries anyway. Hihihi. =)
Do I somehow look like my daughter? A lot of people say yes! How about you, what do you think?

So that's for my hearty Valentines Outfit. Cheers to the Season of Love and Hearts!

Now, what is Love

For most of us, God is!!! I hope that it's also Him for you!!!

Put Him first and everything will be great!!! That's a promise!!!

He is the perfect lover, unconditional giver, everlasting Lord who gives grace and love abundantly, beyond what we can ever contain, beyond what we even deserve!!!

He dwells in our hearts and when we allow Him to take charge, our hearts will speak of His greatness and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Once again, Happy Valentines Day to you all!!! =)

God bless the hearts that speak of God's grace and love!!!

Here's 1 Corinthians 13 for you:

1 Corinthians 13

1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
