A LOVE REVEALED

These are my wonderful parents, the most loving people I know. I thank God that I have been born to the sweetest couple and the most responsible at that. I know that I am the person that I am because of the way that they brought me up. It is from them that I learned that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I could never thank them enough for all the love and sacrifices they have made and gave for our family.

Meet the man I call Daddy. He is Adolfo P. Celera Jr. He is the eldest son of the late Atty. Adolfo Valenzuela Celera and Consuejo Perdon-Celera. Such a charming man, isn't he?

Equally beautiful is my fashionable mother, the woman that my dad has chosen to marry and pledge his vow of a lifelong commitment. She is Marymode Gerona-Celera, eldest daughter of Regeneracion Zara-Gerona and Melchor Maristela Gerona.

They have been married for almost 30 years already and I must say that their relationship is something worthy of emulation.

They are not free from trials. They have their share of the roller coaster ride. They always tell us that there is no perfect relationship but with God as the center of that marriage, He will be the guide in keeping the bond.

When they have arguments or fights, they told us that the key to getting it fixed is that of acknowledging of the one at fault, forgiving by the other of the one who with humility acknowledged having wronged, moving on together and starting again with a clean slate like it's a new day, a new chance and a new beginning just like the first time they have just met. =) Sounds like the "50 First Dates" movie, right? I love that movie. Have you seen it?

Although they are in a long distance relationship, with my mom being abroad, they believe that it is the quality of time spent together that really makes their relationship flourish.

Being far from each other makes their hearts truly go fonder, such that every time they are together, they are like love birds that cannot be separated from each other.

Their being sweet and loving towards each other if you see them will really be very contagious and we have been forewarned of that as we are exposed. =)

Good communication is a must in any relationship they said. Words are never enough for actions must go with it. To keep the marriage bond alive, they advised that it be really taken cared of.

No matter that the world may seem to be at odds with their marriage at times or that the road seems a little bumpy, this I learned from them:  If you truly want to make things work and keep the vows of love forever in sickness or in good health, in pain or gain, for better or for worse, you'll always do things for the best interest of that relationship.

A give and take attitude should not remain as just as an ideal. It must be done.

Also, regardless of the temptations that you may be exposed to, if you truly love one another, nothing can ever tempt or put a stain into that relationship that you have.

Loving and keeping that love alive is a choice that couples can make. If God, despite all our sins have chosen to love us and sent to us His only son so that we can be saved, let us also follow His ways. Accept Him as Lord and Savior and for sure, love will reign in our lives.

Love one another and keep marriages which He witnessed be a testimony of His love. Let love reign among His people on earth as it is in heaven.
God bless all the couples out there!
Cheers to love!

For those who are still on the quest for it, remember- just lift it all up to God and He will be there for you.

Let me end this post with these verses:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29: 11-13)
